Service and sale of fire extinguishers
Service and sale of fire extinguishers and fire extinguishing equipment
We have an Express service and a mobile service for fire extinguishers!
ENERGA d.o.o. has been in the business of selling new fire extinguishers for many years. We have years of experience in selling fire extinguishers and we offer various types of extinguishers.
Most major fires can be prevented if they are extinguished in their early stage, that is, right after the flames start. At that point even a relatively small amount of extinguishing agents is enough to extinguish it. Considering that we only have a small and limited amount of the extinguishing agent in our extinguishers, they should be placed evenly across the protected space so that they are visible and easily available (accessible).
The choice of fire extinguishers
The necessary number, type, and size of the fire extinguishers are determined according to the class of the possible fire, the surface area of the fire section, and the calculation of the specific fire load of the fire section. The number of necessary units of fire extinguishers considering the specific fire loads and the surface area of the fire section is determined according to the table in Annex 1, which is a part of this Guideline, and they are distributed in fire sections with multiple levels, so that there is at least one fire extinguisher on every level, unless a specific regulation says otherwise. Units of fire extinguishers form paragraph 2 of this Guideline are: powder 9 kg, gas (Halon alternative) 6 kg; foam 9 litres, water 9 litres, and in special conditions CO2 5 kg. Exception for fire sections with surface area up to 20 m2 and low or medium specific fire loads is that in those sections units of fire extinguishers can be powder 6 kg, foam 6 l, water 6 l, and in special conditions CO2 3 kg. In fire sections with high specific fire loads, at every 500 m2 of surface area a mobile extinguisher with 50 kg of powder, or 25 kg of gas (Halon alternative), or 50 litres of air foam is added to the number of extinguishers from paragraph 2 of this Guideline. In cases when fire safety estimates for buildings are made according to special regulations, the choice of fire extinguishers is made on the basis of those estimates.
Placing fire extinguishers
Considering that we only have a small and limited amount of the extinguishing agent in our extinguishers, they should be placed evenly across the protected space so that they are visible and easily available (accessible). Fire extinguishers are placed in locations where a fire might break out, and the handle of the extinguisher must not be placed higher than 1.5m. Recommended distance between the extinguishers is no more than 20 metres. The location for placing a fire extinguisher in rooms with the surface area of more than 50 m2 must be marked with a label no smaller than 150×150 mm according to the relevant Croatian norm HRN ISO 6309. The label must be largely coloured with the colour RAL 3000 the label for fire extinguishers which must be placed high enough so its visibility is not obstructed by the content of the space. Fire extinguishers are placed in visible and easily accessible locations, near a place where a fire might break out, and for mobile extinguishers the carrying handle must not be higher than 1.5 metres from the ground.
